I’m Jasmine Jade and I’ve been working as a wedding and portrait photographer for over 15 years. I am based at my gallery in Chelmsford, Essex though shoot weddings across London and the UK.
The two loves of my life are my family and photography. My perfect day is waking up in our lovingly restored little Victorian home, and then the three of us (and our crazy dog) taking a bike ride into the city park playing, chatting and laughing as we go.
I have participated with privilege in over five hundred weddings. I am recommended by top wedding planners, and by Essex’s most prestigious venues including Gosfield Hall, Hatfield Place & Gaynes Park. I’ve also worked in the U.K.’s most prestigious venues including Blenheim Palace, Claridges, The Ritz , Syon Park and Elmore Court. Whilst I love working locally, a super-duper venue really excites me. 95% of my work comes through referral none of which is commissioned. I’m recommended solely on being great at what I do which I’m pretty chuffed about.
I’m often featured on the U.K.’s best wedding blogs and magazines including Rock My Wedding, Brides Magazine, Hello Magazine amongst others. I am also a wedding photography judge for the prestigious National Wedding Awards.
Never complacent about my achievements, I always invest heavily in training so that I can continue to provide my clients the very latest techniques and skills in my trade.
I’m a perfectionist with a meticulous eye for detail and organisation excites me. I am a lover of natural light, beautiful wedding dresses, flowers and venues. When I say love, I am actually verging on obsession. And when I say verging, I’m lying.
I am a wedding geek!
In 2012 I married my husband, it was the best day of my life (such a cliché but true). There’s nothing better than belonging to my little family and our wedding was the day that solidified the start of our story. Following my own wedding I had a new perspective on what it takes to be a great wedding photographer
HOW I WORK
To be a great wedding photographer you need to not only take great photographs, but also, have an empathetic affable personality.
My aims are to provide you the best photographs and to be as helpful as possible. I am very good at reading my clients and the environment and consequently changing role from unobtrusive photographer to friend, or organiser.
I’m not just your photographer. I want to help as much as I can so you get to have the best day of your life.
For me, sharing the most important day of your life with you, is like having a front row ticket to an extraordinary event. This is real life love story unfolding before my eyes. I see real emotion, pure happiness and excitement and love. For a hopeless romantic what’s not to love about that?
I’m a big believer in truly capturing stories. To do this I really need to feel and engage in your story. I always wear my heart on my sleeve and feel whilst I’m shooting. I want to live every moment so you can relive the feelings and story in the images I take. Every photograph will instantly transport you back to how you felt in that very moment.
Around 80% of your wedding day I spend observing and capturing your story. Depending on your needs we will work together if you require formal group shots. I like to spend around 20 minutes with just the two of you to create some flattering and romantic portraits. This is a great opportunity for you both to spend time together on the wedding day as I often work from a distance to capture you more naturally.
What Makes me Different?
So, what makes me different? Actually, what makes me different, is what makes us the same.
I work for a very particular type of Bride and Groom. If you are on my website and you’ve read this far, that’s you. You’re a perfectionist, you like things done “just so” and you want the best wedding photographer. You want someone to capture your day perfectly and make you look amazing.
When I take photographs of you, I look at you through your eyes. After all, we are our own worst critics. My experience over the years has taught me what people love about themselves, and in turn enables me to take the best possible photos of you and your guests.
As part of my team, I have the very best second shooters. I currently work alongside Matthew Long (Regional Wedding Photographer of the year TWIA 2019) and Jo Tennant (FBIPP) I am so fortunate to have such great talents to work alongside.
