I made a promise to myself that I would blog more this year, but August has been crazy busy so something had to give. The good news is, I now have a large collection of super gorgeous weddings to share with you, starting with this one.
Laura and David where married on the 1st August at St Johns Church in Danbury and had their reception at Maidens Barn, Chelmsford. Laura is a very good friend of one of my very good friends and we grew up in the same village so when she asked me to capture their wedding photography in Chelmsford, I was overly excited.
Her bridal preparations took place at her parents house in Little Baddow near Chelmsford, and it suited her look perfectly. The wedding had a vintage feel, complete with a Jenny Packham dress (one of my very favorite designers). This particular dress was made for Laura, her personalty and figure. She looked stunning. I remember hearing actually gasps during the wedding service as they walked to the altar for their blessing and mutters of “Look at that dress”.
Rarely do I stop between venues, but on the approach to Maidens Barn I spotted a field with with hay bales and blue sky with fluffy clouds, squealing with delight, I pulled over and flagged down the bridal car. When Laura and David agreed to come into the field via a ditch, I jumped with joy and excitement. These photos are my favourite of the whole day.
Also, a massive thank you to Danielle, my second photographer and assistant. She does a smashing job each and every wedding I shoot and rarely do I mention her on my blogs, but without her I’d be a little lost – THANK YOU, for your brilliant photos, you are super talented and I am very lucky to work with you xx
The awesome flowers where by Blossom Hill florist in Danbury and pulled all the vintage details together beautifully.
