A Classic Wedding at Gaynes Park

Pollyanna and Matthew’s vision for their big day was a classic wedding. They chose a black and white colour theme which for me is completely timeless and simple and yet is my favourite look for a big day.

Gaynes Park

Gaynes Park in Epping, is a charming rustic barn venue just outside of London. To me a venue stands out when it’s truly loved by its owners and this rings so true at Gaynes.

The historical country park estate has been in the Chisenhale-Marsh family for generations. Liselle and her husband lovingly restored the barn and walled Gardens and added the orangery in around 2005 (I think!). Liselle has a superb eye for detail. It’s her love for interior design that makes Gaynes Park, in my opinion, the best Barn venue anywhere. Everything is finished to an exquisite standard, both internally and externally. No matter what season there always seems to be a different part of the land that catches your eye. Pollyanna & Matthew have equally high standards. It is no wander that they felt Gaynes Park was a perfect fit for their classic wedding.

Getting Ready

After what seemed like forever, finally the big day had come and I arrived at Gaynes Park in anticipation to see Pollyanna and her Bridesmaids in the luxury Coachouse. Pollyanna had an army of Bridesmaids. The atmosphere was wonderful as all the girls had been friends since childhood and each and every one shared in Pollyanna’s enthusiasm and happiness.

Whilst the girls where getting ready in the Coach House, Matthew along with his groomsmen arrived in style via Helicopter. A moment captured by my second shooter Kevin Wood. It was no surprise to me that the suits Matthew chose where impeccable, a simple, elegant tux the perfect fit for a classic wedding.

Pollyanna & Matthew had chosen gifts for each other for the morning of the wedding, and sent the maid of honour and bestmen to deliver them. I love Pollyanna’s expression as she opened her gifts, it was like watching a child at Christmas.

The Ceremony

I love the walk through the garden that the Brides make at Gaynes Park. Through the centre of the walled garden and into the Orangery where the grooms nervously wait. The expressions on their faces during this part of the wedding was so touching. It is a real honour to witness such love between couples.

The Party

During the meal the couple hired Cameron Fellows to sing. This resulted in a full on party during dinner. Nearly all the guests where dancing and singing along and even standing on the chairs. Its not often the party starts that early but thanks to Cameron, it really took off.

This wedding was epic. Matthew and Pollyanna have exquisite taste and chose a classic Black and white theme for their wedding. I love this look its so simple, stylish and timeless.

Testimonial

“Jasmine made a huge effort to ensure she captured every moment of our day. Jasmines attention to detail is everything you could want in a photographer, from capturing the detail shots to ensuring your dress, veil and hair are picture perfect. As for the albums, she puts so much thought in to creating a story to share the magic of your wedding. “ Pollyanna & Matthew Cozens
