Jessica and Edwards Wedding at Hatfield Place

Jessica and Edwards wedding at Hatfield place

Meeting Jessica and Edward

Jessica and Edward’s wedding at Hatfield Place was a visual delight. Jessica and Edward where originally due to get married in 2020, so when they finally where able to celebrate in 2021,  all that they had been through, meant that the celebration was all the more special.

I first met Jessica and Edward at one of their friend’s weddings. I  couldn’t have been more excited when they booked me for their big day. It was due to go ahead at one of Essex’s brand new wedding venue’s and was meant to be my fourth wedding at Hatfield place in 2020 – that never quite worked out strangely!!!!

About Hatfield Place

Hatfield Place is close to my heart as the owners are friends with my family. The house is just a short 5 minute drive from where I grew up.   I have oftened driven past over the years and earmarked Hatfield Place for an amazing venue for a wedding. It is located just outside of Chelmsford in the picturesque village of Hatfield Peveral in Essex.

The house boasts a stunning Georgian facade and is enhanced with a purposefully built Orangery. The newly built Orangery sits on the lower tier of a beautiful and original walled garden.  The Orangery’s full length windows allow the guests to enjoy the stunning garden views.  The space is a perfect mix of rustic charm and modern chic.  It is complimented by huge oak beams, part exposed brick work, oak flooring and, (new for 2021), hand painted mural walls.

Getting ready at Hatfield Place

The 26th August 2021 was a beautiful sunny day. When I arrived at Hatfield Place I found Jessica, her mum and Bridesmaids getting ready in the  Bridal Coach House. The room was filled with fun laughter and anticipation. Jessica had hired one of my very favourite hair and makeup teams – Botias hair and makeup . I am lucky enough to work with Botias often. The team are exceptionally talented and one of the UK’s best wedding hair and makeup suppliers.

Jessica’s dress was the dress of dreams.  From the notorious  Wedding Club London and designed by Berta.  According to the likes of ELLE and VOGUE, Berta is considered today as one of the world’s top-notch designers for bridalwear.   Jessica’s dress was bold, sexy and modern and she looked utterly amazing in it.

One of my favourite parts of this wedding was Jessica’s Dad first look.  It was so emotional when he came up the stairs of the bridal coach house and saw her for the first time dressed as a beautiful Bride. I’m not sure there was a dry eye in the room.

I wanted to get some shots of Jessica on her own and found the perfect (although tiny) natural light source above the old stable door which flaunted Jessica’s contours, her dress and veil. This light was devine.  It created the dreamiest black and white bridal images.

The Ceremony

The ceremony for Jessica and Edward’s wedding at Hatfield Place took place in the Orangery.  I love the picture of Edward standing at the top of the isle waiting for his Bride to be.  His expression tells the story of just how excited, proud and anxious he was at that moment.  He looked super handsome in his white tuxedo jacket from Jack Bunneys

As Jessica walked down the petal covered white isle, Edward can be seen wiping tears from his eyes. The ceremony was filled with love and laughter.

After, the couple celebrated with their guests with a confetti tunnel and drinks reception in the walled garden of Hatfield Place.

The Styling of Jessica and Edward's Wedding

Jessica and Edward’s  top table was covered in the most gorgeous array of flowers. The waterfall of flowers fell at the end of the table and across the floor of the orangery – it was breathtaking.   Expertly crafted by Tj Designer Weddings

A palette of white, dusky pink, peach and pale yellow complimented the classic and elegant stylish look.   I especially loved the signage and stationery by Corlia creations. The splash plates and textured dusky pink napkins finished the look most eloquently.

Jessica and Edward’s Wedding at Hatfield Place was an absolute joy to photograph. They opted for one of the most stunning venues in the UK and had some of the best suppliers on board. It’s  a wedding I have been wanting to share for a long time, I really hope you enjoy viewing all their pretty!!!
