Laura and Andy where married at Northbrook park in Surrey. They are just such an amazing and lovely couple in every way, I had so much fun capturing the day for them – a huge thanks to them and their families for being utterly wonderful.

I asked Laura to write a little bit about their day, and why they chose me to capture the moments.

“Andy and I both wanted a venue that would enable us to have the ceremony and reception all on the same site.

Northbrook Park in Farnham Surrey, was a recommendation and we loved the venue as soon as we saw it; it exceeded all expectations.  The grounds are absolutely stunning and had peacocks roaming free. We were so lucky that on our wedding day the rain was able to hold off long enough for us to be able to have photos in the grounds. The ceremony was held in the Vine room which was classic and elegant with large French Windows and a huge fireplace which was lit after the ceremony for the pre wedding breakfast drinks. The wedding breakfast was held in the Orangery room which was rustic and vintage. The bare brick walls were complimented with foliage and the marquee roof with chandeliers really added to everything both Andy and I were looking for.

My wedding dress was Marilia by  Pronovias. The wedding dress shop, Teokath in Canterbury were just fabulous and highly recommend them to anyone. Our bridesmaids wore the Kate lace mid length dress in nude/ pastel pink from ASOS. Our groomsmen wore Reiss suits and ties.

Our colour scheme was mainly pastel pink and cream colours throughout the wedding. We wanted fresh Spring colours that would be in keeping with the season and be able to compliment the flowers, wedding party and decorations.

My Aunty Dawn kindly did the flowers for us, we knew that Aunty Dawn is an amazing florist but seeing the flowers on the day took my breath away. Unfortunately Aunty Dawn and my Uncle Paul were unable to attend on the day so having the flowers and the rest of the family there gave us a happy memory to have a part of them there.

The men’s favours were homemade sweet chilli jam chutney in jars with hessian lid covers. We also had Rose tartan ribbon tied around the top of each of the favours. The Rose tartan was a personal touch as this is Andy’s family’s tartan print.

Jasmine came highly recommended from very good friends of ours.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jasmine at a friend’s wedding and I instantly knew that if I was to ever get married (ha) then Jasmine would be on speed dial.

Andy and I loved Jasmine as soon as we met her; Jasmine has the most beautiful nature and can put even us shy folk at ease. Her classic yet contemporary style really suited our tastes down to the ground.

At the pre shoot we spoke at length about what type of photos we wanted and Jasmine was invaluable in helping us get the style and shot selection right! The photos are such an important part of the day and you only get one chance to get them right so it was very important for us to have complete confidence in our photographer.

On our special day Jasmine and our second photographer Jo were just incredible and were there as much as friends as they were photographers. We honestly cannot recommend both Jasmine and Jo enough for being such amazing ladies and fabulous photographers.

We genuinely couldn’t be happier with our wedding photos, they captured the day perfectly and we will cherish them forever Thank you!!”
