The sun shone all day for Caroline and Matthew’s autumn wedding at Leez Priory in Chelmsford on the 3rd October 2015. Leez Priory is a multi-award winning wedding venue in Chelmsford consisting of a magnificent Tudor Mansion set in 40 acres of parkland, with lakes, lawns and a sweeping driveway.
 
Caroline and her mum and sisters arrived the day before the wedding and stayed in the pretty fishermen’s cottage on the grounds of Leez Priory. So they were on hand the next morning to get ready in the bridal dressing rooms. Hair was done by Joanne Bullock from options and make up by Natalie Williamson. This is a part of the day that I know Caroline really enjoyed and I was really pleased to be present to take some lovely natural shots of the bride, brides’ mother and the bridesmaids as they helped Caroline prepare for her day. Caroline wore a stunning vintage Ellis bridal gown that had beautiful lace detail, that coupled with her shoes (Pink by Paradox) gave her the most gorgeous silhouette. The elegant flowers were provided by Springfield Florists in Chelmsford, whose arrangements perfectly complimented both the wedding party’s attire and the venue. Bridesmaids wore simple and elegant navy blue dresses by Dessy that really worked well with grooms wedding party suits. Caroline obviously has a good eye for colour.
 
After the ceremony, held in the magnificent great hall, Caroline, Matthew and their guests enjoyed a drinks reception outside in the sunshine. After which I whisked Caroline and Matthew away for a time to take some lovely shots of the couple around the grounds.
 
Then it was on to a sumptuous wedding breakfast followed by some very lively speeches. The wedding cake was made by friend of the bride Victoria, and really looked amazing (you wouldn’t believe it was the first one she had made!)
 
Then it was onto the evening reception which had everyone dancing well into the night and included a brilliant firework display that lit up the night sky throwing light on this magnificent venue and Caroline and Matthew’s very happy guests. A perfect ending to a perfect day.
