Old Royal Naval College Pre Wedding Shoot

Taylor and Charlie Old Royal_Navy College Pre-Wedding Shoot

Taylor & Charlie

Taylor and Charlie where introduced to me by one of my favourite wedding Planners, Louise Perry Weddings. Right from the start, Louise said I was a perfect fit for this Bride and Groom and as soon as I met Taylor and Charlie I could not have agreed more. They where simply lovely and had plans for a huge London Church wedding with 250 guests.

A British Themed Wedding

Taylor is from Texas and so it was to be a very British affair. The plan after the Church Ceremony is a boat trip down the Thames to the stunning Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich. They wanted to show their guests (mostly travelling from America) the best of London and so travelling down the Thames was a great way to include plenty of sightseeing on their big day. Charlie’s family also have a military background and so the venue was a perfect backdrop for their wedding.

I have not worked at the Old Royal Navy College previously and so when planning where to do their pre wedding shoot it was an easy choice as it would give me a great opportunity to get to know my way around the venue and find the best areas for photography. And wow what a venue this is.

The Old Royal Naval College

The Old Royal Naval College, on the South Bank of the river Thames is the architectural centre piece of Maritime Greenwich. It is known to be the “finest and most dramatically sited architectural and landscape ensemble in the British Isles” and originally designed by Christopher Wren. What better venue for a British themed wedding all masterminded by the talented Louise Perry Weddings.

They are due to have dinner in the Painted Hall at the venue – this room is ASTONISHING and I simply can not wait for their big day!
