Samantha & Cameron’s Wedding
Samantha and Cameron’s Wedding day was a social buzz full of fun and laughter. The navy blue colour and white florals gave it a classic, elegant and timeless feel. The couple – quite rightly- didn’t want to spend too much time having their photographs taken and wanted the emphasis to be on enjoying the day with their guests and family.
Every Bride and Groom worry about bad weather on the day, they wish for sunshine and not rain. But very occasionally even in England it’s just too hot, and Samantha and Cameron’s wedding will forever be remembered for not only the bustling social gathering but the extraordinary heat.
The Apple Loft
The morning of the wedding I met all of Sam’s girls in the Apple Loft. It has been newly renovated and THANK FULLY had air conditioning which made for a relaxed morning full of laughter. Her girls all made me feel so welcome and couldn’t have been better bridesmaids to support Sam on her big day. There was so much love in the room for me to capture and that made my job so easy. It was a lovely touch that one of the bridesmaids did all the hair for the girls she was on hand all day to help Sam and did a fantastic job.
The Coach House
The boys got ready in the Coach House at Gaynes Park and where photographed by my second Shooter Jo. Jo is a fantastic photographer who has been photographing weddings longer than I have. I love that my couples always speak so highly of her and always comment on how helpful she is. She has a great eye for detail and is really good at capturing stories as they unfold. The photos below perfectly capture the Grooms nerves and excitement about the moments ahead.
The Ceremony
The ceremony was held in Gaynes Park’s beautiful Orangery. It’s always a favourite part of a wedding to see the Bride and Groom see each other for the first time on their wedding day. After the ceremony I loved Sam and Cameron’s expression as they walk out of the ceremony to see their wedding Co-ordinator with drinks for them.
The Drinks Reception
After the ceremony the guests gathered in the shaded gardens at Gaynes and Samantha & Cameron enjoyed cocktails and socialising with their family and friends.
Formal Photographs
We kept formal photograph to a minimal just immediate family and then some bridal party shots. I wanted to make the shots natural to portray the relaxed vibe from the day. I love the classic Navy and white florals its so timeless.
After this I quickly took Sam and Cameron to see the Mill barn before their guests would be seated. I used the entrance to the barn for some intimate head shots. The breeze here made for a comfortable spot away from their guests to get a few portraits of them both. And then as their guests where being seated they went to the Apple loft to spruce up before dinner and so I followed from a distance to capture some natural walking shots of them.
The Wedding Breakfast & Speeches
During the Breakfast one of the couple’s friends sang. It was so special and all the guests joined in dancing and celebrating.
Golden Hour Photography
After the meal and whilst the Mill Barn was being prepared for the evening party. I took the opportunity to take Sam & Cam away from their guests for 20 minute for some down time together. It was a little cooler by now and the light was so much more flattering to work with. Having done a pre wedding photoshoot with them allowed me to from a distance giving them time to really enjoy the moment.
I loved every moment of this wedding, the guests and family where all so wonderful and hospitable and had so much fun which made it an absolute joy to photograph.
