Autumn Wedding at Gosfield Hall
Lois and Graham chose the magnificent Gosfield Hall for their elegant autumn wedding. I had met Lois and Graham before and having learned that, firstly, Lois is absolutely stunning and, secondly, Graham is a designer – I just knew this wedding would be fabulous!
About Gosfield Hall
Gosfield Hall is an impressive formal Tudor mansion house dating back to 1545. Most noteworthy it was formerly a royal residence. Its magnificent grounds are set in a picturesque village in rural Essex. As a recommended supplier at Gosfield Hall photographing weddings there always feels like coming home because, the staff always make me feel so welcome. Therefore, it is no wonder they are a multi-award winning wedding venue.
Getting Ready for an Autumn Wedding
Lois prepared for the wedding in Gosfield Hall’s regal bridal suite. It is flooded with light through the full length Georgian windows consequently giving the most exquisite backdrop for photographs of her and the bridal party getting ready. Lois (who I suspect would look gorgeous wearing a bin bag!) looked effortlessly stunning and elegant in her Justin Alexander wedding gown. Her flowers were provided by Megan at the Willows. Bridesmaids and page boys were made up of Lois and Graham’s many nieces and nephews and of course their beautiful daughter Olivia. The gorgeous flower girls’ dresses were by Dessy. I have to say that the regal splendour of the room, Lois’s natural beauty and understated glamour and all the children gave the air of a modern royal marriage (with Lois as our very own Kate Middleton!)
With so many small children in the room there was a real playful tone. Resulting in some great shots.
Graham, the best man and the page boys suits were provided by Anthony formal wear in Billericay.
A Church Ceremony at Gosfield
The ceremony was beautiful. Part way through, Oilvia cried she wanted a hug and only Daddy would do! So she snuggled up to Graham’s chest and the ceremony continued in that way. It was a touching moment and for me it summed up the lovely laid back family feel of this autumn wedding.
The Car
After the ceremony, Lois and Graham got into their wedding car, a stunning convertible Jaguar E Type V12. The car was a gift from Lois’s brother (for the day unfortunately not to keep!). Everybody watched as the couple sped off glamorously for a drive around the stunning grounds and pretty Essex countryside whilst their guests stayed behind and enjoyed reception drinks.
I know this was one of the highlights of Lois and Grahams’ day. Before cake and speeches everybody enjoyed a sumptuous wedding breakfast. The wedding cakemade by Helen at Amelie’s Kitchen was loved by me. Also, it was in keeping with the style of the day as it managed to be both modern and traditional.
A Elegant Autumn wedding
This stylish autumn wedding at this magnificent stately resulted in a perfect day for this gorgeous couple. Congratulations to Lois and Graham for getting married and creating such a memorable day for yourselves, your family and your friends to remember. I hope my images will help you to relive your day for many years to come.
