Megan and Connor’s Wedding – Introduction

Megan and Connor’s Wedding was an absolute visual delight for all their family and guests. Absolutely everything was planned to a tee by Megan and actually the thing that went wrong at Megan and Connor’s Wedding actually made it all the more special. Here is What Megan had to say about their dream day:

Why did you Choose Gosfield Hall as your wedding venue?

We actually saw Gosfield Hall on tv and decided last minute we wanted to get married in 2019. I went to Gosfield Halls website and enquired about a date, it asked for a date in mind but I didn’t have one so I randomly picked 28th September , thinking they won’t have it as it’s 9 months away and it’s also a Saturday. They came back and said it was available and we booked it then and there without even seeing the venue. I was worried if I waited I would loose the date as it was one of the last Saturdays available. I feel like it was meant to be. Once we viewed the venue a week later we knew we had made the right choice and by the photos we had seen of Jasmine’s at the venue we knew it would be amazing.

What, if anything, inspired you to style your day the way you did?

I wanted it to be classy and not something I would look back at in a few years time and regret. I went for blush pinks, ivory and gold. I feel they went together so well and I couldn’t picture having bridesmaid dresses any other colour.

I had lots of ideas in my head of the kind of decor I wanted. JF styling made these ideas into my dream wedding. They were amazing down to every little detail. I wanted there to be flowers everywhere at the wedding and Jades Flower Design definitely made this happen. I don’t have many fresh flowers at home mainly because I can’t keep them alive haha so I knew at the wedding I definitely wanted them. I went for pale pinks and ivory’s as I didn’t want the wedding to be too pink.

Tell us about your dress?

I knew I always wanted a dress with sleeves and fitted. I found the dress online and searched everywhere but only 1 place had it to try within a reasonable distance of me. Once I tried it on at Fross wedding collections I knew it was the one, it had everything I wanted. I added a few appliqués around the neck line and also scalloping to the bottom of the dress. It was definitely the perfect dress for me.

What was your favourite part of the your wedding day?

My favourite part of the day was of course marrying Connor. Walking down the isle was the thing I was most nervous about. I worried about it for months but it went perfectly, which I still can’t believe to this day. During the ceremony my mum and dad had left the rings back in their room. At the time I couldn’t believe it but looking back now it was really funny and made everyone laugh in the ceremony definitely taking some of the pressure off.

I also loved the dinner and speeches. Just having everyone there enjoying themselves and being about to sit back and watch it all happen and all the hard work I had put into the day. I feel like the layout I chose I was able to speak to everyone and enjoy their company which really made it special.

The evening was absolutely amazing too and our band just made it even more special. Having all my closest family and friends there to enjoy it with. It’s a day and evening I will never forget.

Why Did you Choose Jasmine Jade to photograph you Wedding?

I heard about Jasmine from Instagram and instantly fell in love with the type photographs she takes. When I saw all the different photos from weddings she had taken, I knew straight away I wanted her to be our photographer and I have never looked back. Our wedding photographs are amazing, there isn’t a single one I don’t like. They are memories I can keep forever!
